How does it work?
It uses Real-ESRGAN, an artificial intelligence model trained to enlarge real photos. It runs on your device, in parts, so it also works on phones. It's especially useful for photos that arrived small via WhatsApp, low-resolution logos or screenshots you want to print.

How long does it take?
On a computer, a few seconds; on a phone, one to two minutes depending on the photo. You can cancel anytime.
Is my photo uploaded?
No. Everything happens on your device.
Why don't I see the Maximum quality?
Since your photo isn't uploaded to any server, the work is done by your own device. Maximum quality (kit593 Pro) uses the graphics card (WebGPU) and only appears if your phone or computer has one. If it is slow on your device, we ask whether you prefer to use Normal by default.
Is there a maximum size?
Free, photos up to 1 MP (for example, 1200×800 px): if larger, it is reduced first. Free is 5 photos per day without an account and 10 with your account; with kit593 Pro, no daily limit and up to 4 MP when enlarging ×2 (×4 stays at 1 MP due to the maximum image size the browser handles).
Is it the same as a photo taken in high resolution?
Not quite: the AI refines what already exists, but it can't invent details. Very small faces or text may look artificial.
