Is the password saved?
No. It's generated in your browser with the system's cryptographic generator and isn't sent or stored anywhere.
How long should it be?
At least 14 characters, or a phrase of 5 words or more. Use a different one for your email and your bank.
What is a passphrase?
Several random words joined together (for example “cloud-cocoa-door-river-pencil”): they are easy to remember and very hard to guess if the words are chosen at random.
