What is PDF/A?
It's the version of PDF made to be stored for many years and look the same on any computer. Archives, universities and some agencies require it.
What changes in my PDF?
The metadata and color profile required by the standard are added, and disallowed things such as JavaScript or attachments are removed. The content looks the same.
Why do some pages end up as images?
If a page uses non-embedded fonts or print colors, it cannot meet the standard as it is: it is saved as an image so that it does.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. The conversion is done on your device.
